About the model The B 10 is an older student instrument from Buffet Crampon, which is not produced anymore. The Prodige and Premium models are the successors.
The body of the B 10 as well as its sister model B 10 and B 13 were made of brushed Luraton (wood-like finish). The keywork was made of nickel-plated punched nickel silver and supplied with steel springs and headless pointed screws, which offers easy adjustment without play. The bore is drilled especially for easy blowing with some resistance and easy intonation. The Clarinet has a somewhat higher intonation than one made of wood to counter for the further expansion caused by usage, and to make it easier for students to play together with others. The main difference to the N 12 and B 13 is the use of a synthetic pad made by Valentino as well as the lack of any body rings with metal like looking syrfaces.
Lohff & Pfeiffer comments to the model The Buffet Crampon B10 is a cheaper version of the legendary B 12 student clarinet from Buffet, which was made in ABS plastic.
